This question i ask myself a lot of time's i have been training and studying in my in my martial arts (wing chun kung fu) now for seven and a half years for approx 3 years i have been teaching this art as an assistant instructor and when circumstance's changed last year i had to make a decision as my instructor had to move on the remaining students asked if i was to carry on (teaching). So with a couple of students i took it upon myself to start up my own club (Hertfordshire Wing Chun) and start teaching on my own. I then set my self a goal to find an teacher and club that i could train with and further my development and understanding in wing chun, i surfed the internet on a number of occasions went to numerous wing chun seminars. Then i remember my instructors teacher (Clive Potter). I now train as regular as i can at his club and with his students to carry on my study and understanding in wing chun. I suppose the question i am asking myself is now my club has been up and running for nearly a year i now believe more in myself as a teacher or coach as i have seen improvements in all my students and there ability in learning wing chun. I think now after writing this blog for the first time i have found my answer you don't always need or have to chase that certificate of approval its your life experiences and your passed that make you become an teacher, coach, instructor, sifu, not a piece of paper that's not to say that's everybody Opinion. Because i have found out by pass
experience they mite have an instructors certificate but not that much commonsense or teaching ability again these are my views i am not hear to offend anybody
i wait in anticipation for any reply's
